Often times we’re asked how long should my videos be. There’s no set, easy answer but a good rule to keepin mind is– that the attention span of the average web viewer is much shorter than somebody say watching television. Remember the web searcher is doing just that, searching for information–if they come across your video and the answer to their need or question is not presented or layed out quickly–there usually is plenty of other places they can go where it is.
At MCA we try to keep our videos from 1 minute to a maximum of 3 minutes in length. Anything over 3 minutes should be broken up into two separate videos, for maximum effectiveness.
